A very early Joan Jett photo that I took on Santa Monica pier. Joan was ordering this giant ice cream involvement! She loved every moment of it and I stood there taking photos.
Somehow I knew that I was capturing a special moment with Debbie Harry and Joan Jett when I made this photo backstage at an early Blondie concert in 1977.

Back in 1977 I carted my teenage pal Joan Jett over to the Santa Monica pier for some junk food and photos. Let’s see, I think Joan ordered a pile of greasy fries soaked in Ketchup and then she flushed it all down with this giant chocolate shake. I took photos of all this shit going down. Not sure why, but I did. Remember Brad students, always bring your camera with you!
